These Terms govern your use of the Savio app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using Savio you agree to these Terms. Savio is operated in Australia and these Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory, and agree that any court proceedings arising out of or in connection with these Terms must be commenced in the ACT courts.
1. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Savio, and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
2. Your content
You retain ownership of the documents and data you upload. You grant Savio a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, transmit and process this content solely to operate the Service (for example, OCR extraction, reminders and savings comparisons).
3. GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY — NOT ADVICE
Savio provides general information only. We do not provide financial, legal, tax, insurance, energy, telecommunications or any other professional advice. Nothing in the Service constitutes a recommendation, endorsement or personal advice. Estimated savings and deal comparisons are indicative only, based on data you supply (including OCR of your uploads) and publicly available provider information which may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate. Final pricing, eligibility, contract terms, exclusions and product suitability are set entirely by the relevant provider.
All decisions are your own. You should independently verify any offer directly with the provider and, where appropriate, obtain advice from a qualified professional (e.g. a licensed financial adviser, lawyer or insurance broker) before making any decision. Do not act or refrain from acting based on anything in the Service without doing your own checks.
4. Savings, switching & commissions
Savio may receive a referral fee or commission if you switch through our links — this never increases the price you pay. We are not a broker, credit provider, insurer, energy retailer, telecommunications carrier or financial services licensee. We do not act on your behalf when you deal with a provider.
5. Acceptable use
Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, attempt to access another user's data, reverse engineer the Service, or interfere with its operation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
6. Fees and refunds
Savio's core features are currently free. Paid features, when introduced, will show pricing before you subscribe. All payments are non-refundable except where a refund is required under the Australian Consumer Law (for example, where the Service is not of acceptable quality, doesn't match its description, or fails to meet a consumer guarantee). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. ASSUMPTION OF RISK & RELEASE
You use Savio at your own risk. By using the Service you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for any decisions you make (including any switch of energy, internet, insurance, credit card or other provider) and any consequences flowing from those decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release, waive and discharge Savio, its officers, employees, contractors, agents and related bodies corporate from any claim, demand, action or cause of action (whether in contract, tort, statute or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or any decision you make based on information provided through it. You agree not to sue Savio in respect of any such matter, to the extent permitted by law.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Savio is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense of any kind (including indirect, consequential, incidental, special, punitive or exemplary loss, loss of profits, loss of savings, loss of data, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, or any loss arising from switching providers) arising out of or in connection with the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise, and whether or not we knew such loss was possible. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited, at our option, to (a) resupplying the Service, or (b) paying the cost of resupplying the Service, and in any event will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or AUD $100. This clause does not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Indemnity
You indemnify Savio against any claim, loss, damage or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or any content you upload.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. Personal data and uploaded files are permanently removed within 28 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be notified in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
